Migrations

1. Blue Daze

Sort of like being in a haze
In so very many ways
Trying to live out the days
No one here hardly plays

Seems to be a definite craze
Always having to ride the waves
Sometimes stumbling like in a daze
Some may want to think it is a faze

But that reasoning really is not so
Because one thing I surely know
Whether my actions are fast or slow
For some reason, I can`t let go

Even when it tears me apart
Causes me to break other hearts
Right from the very start
This will continue until I depart

Having bipolar can be like hell
Many know this fact very well
Too many stories hard to tell
In blue daze where we dwell

2. One Migration

Not only does the body
Migrate back to the soil
Leaving traces of passage
During days of toil

The core of the creation
Called the spirit or soul
Trades a crown of silver
For a crown of gold

Speaking out to the youth
In warnings and praise
To bask carefully in the sunshine
While in their youthful days

Just as a watch or clock
Keeps ticking away time
The clay keeps changing
Along with the mind

Until the migration is complete
With no more days of toil
And the body is finally released
Back to enrich the living soil

...and it came to be

Meeting in the warm sunshine
On a cold and rainy day
Suddenly feeling drawn
Without any words to say

What was this attraction
How did it come to unfold
Certainly not because
Either was very bold

Struggling just to live
Hoping to survive
Searching for a reason
To want to stay alive

Wondering if there ever
Was just one in this land
Having true vision and ears
With an ability to understand

How the sun can truly warm
On a cold and rainy day
Bringing comfort to others
Listening to what each had to say

About Me

My Photo
I was, I am, and I will be. I live in a state of confusion called Georgia by some people. Humor is my cup of tea and I do so enjoy sharing it with friends.
